Railway Museum Gets £1.7m Revamp

An historic rail museum which used to be a Victorian station is to undergo a £1.7m revamp to attract more visitors (link below.)

Work at the Railway Centre and Museum in Darlington will get under way after Easter and will include new displays.

The Grade II listed building was the home of the world's first passenger railway , which opened in 1842 on the Stockton to Darlington line.
